I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to strategy games, well not perfectionist per say but rather a life saver. There are also added challenges that you can complete to get achievements and extra points. In all, you have about 30 scenarios to complete with the challenge of obtaining the max 3 stars at the end. The game with all the add-ons included seems to be quite large with 3 different campaigns which have their own scenarios that you have to play through. I have been looking for a strategy game for my beloved Xena (Xbox console) to while away the time until the release of Tropico 6. The player is presented with an overall top-down view of the battlefield and by selecting individual units or groups of units as a whole, move them to different points to achieve the scenario’s objectives. Set in the European theatre during World War 2 the player is the overall commander of an army. What do you have to do? Scenario 1 German Campaign Ages Recommended: T – for Teen so it has visual violence and war themes, obviously.

They have already gotten great cred from their Tropico series, of which I am a huge fan. Kalypso Media, are one of my favourite game developers when it comes to adapting and porting strategy games to the Xbox. That being said though, there are still some great titles out there available for consoles, and in particular Xbox One, that has managed to strike a balance between complexity, strategy and playability. The limited options of a controller mean that controls have to be simplified and often elements of the game left out. Unfortunately, consoles cannot match the power and the versatility of a PC and a mouse. I love strategy games where one controls the destiny of armies and nations in the palm of your hand keeping them subjugated under the threat of a click of a button.
